Chana Vhuna Recipe:
Preparation Time - 30 mins
Cook time - 15 mins
Serves person - 3
Ingredients:
- Black chickpea ( chana ) - 1/2 cup
- Onion ( chopped) - 1
- Tomato ( chopped) - 1/2 portion of a tomato
- Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
- Ginger paste -1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Green chili - 3 ( split)
- Red chili - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Coriander leaves - 2 tbs
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - As needed
- Oil- 2 tbs
- Water - As needed
Cooking Instruction :
- Clean and soak black chickpeas all night in water for 6 - 8 hours.
- Wash it properly and transfer to a pressure cooker Add salt and 2 cups water and cook them for 4 to 5 whistle on low flame.
- Drain water from boiled chickpeas and keep aside.
- Heat oil and add chopped onion ,fry until it looks light brown.
- Add ginger,garlic paste and green chili,chopped tomato,salt,chili powder and turmeric powder cook around 2 - 3 mins on low flame.
- Add boiled chickpea , garam masala powder,cumin powder and coriander leaves.
- Mix it well and Cook around 4 to 5 mins.
